Everything Begins Somewhere

My kids got me involved with tumblr. My first post was June 21, 2008. Blogging has turned out to be very interesting. I particularly like spontaneous posting of photos from my phone. Slowly I am building up people I am following. I'm not very interested in current music, movies or pop culture. I am interested in family, humor,sports, business, politics and the mundane, ridiculous things in life.

Jim Lehrer

This is my first night dealing with the retirement of Jim Lehrer.  He will only do the Friday night segment with Shields and Brooks - which happens to be the best 10 minutes of TV in the country.  I was a huge Walter Cronkite fan and JL is right there with him.  He ranks with Murrow as one of best interviewer I have ever seen.  The distinguishing factors include that he had no where near the ego of Murrow and he had the luxury of air time devoted to any one issue over Cronkite.

I am privileged to have watched his career and I am in awe of his brilliance.
